About Our Mentor: Wafi Shihad
Wafi Shihad is an Islamic Psychologist, Author and student of Islamic studies. He studied theology and Islamic sciences in Egypt under the scholars of Al Azhar University and in Madeena under esteemed scholars of Masjid An Nabawi and Al Mahdhara. He has been active in the dawah circles for the past many years and he travels quite extensively for dawah works.
He has been focused on the analysis and development of educational systems for the past few years. He worked as a research analyst in an educational organization. His degree dissertation research focused on Classroom morphology about pedagogical structure and its psychological relationship with students' self-esteem. This research was applauded by the professors of the college for its critical methodology and novelty.
Mentorsa emerged out of his analysis of the Islamic education system which has become ineffective in multiple dimensions due to lack of proper structure and methodology. He travelled across the world to multiple international Islamic universities such as Madeena University, Azhar University, Cairo University, Darul Uloom Deoband, etc… and studied their academic structure and pedagogy. Mentorsa aims to revolutionize the Islamic educational paradigm with novel Islamic tarbiyya methods that are rooted in traditions, at the same time psychologically and scientifically based.
His background in social activism and working as a journalist makes him a keen social observer. His insights on current affairs are nuanced and deep. During his college years, Wafi actively contributed to various organizations, serving as the chairman of the Childline Ambassadors Network, College Ambassador of NPTEL, and president of SISE (Student’s Initiative for Social Empowerment). He further honed his skills by earning multiple diplomas in Emotional Intelligence and Soft Skills from IIT.
His readers' circle is wide, With a followership of 20,000 members. As a highly accomplished author, his book "Campus or Circus" has already been published and is gaining recognition. He is also working on a seminal anthropological and sociological work based on his travels in Egypt, Palestine, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia. His adventurous spirit was showcased when he completed a remarkable 4,000-kilometer bike ride from the north of Egypt to the Sudan border, gaining recognition through news portals in Malayalam and Arabic.
Message from Brother Wafi -“Allah created everyone with immense potential. Potential to achieve success in both this life and the hereafter. We are all born with unlimited capacities that help us to unleash ourselves to the vast horizon of limitless possibilities. But, unfortunately, due to many sociological and psychological influences, these potentials lay dormant throughout life. Those who break the shackles of these boundaries built by external and internal influences, leave an indelible mark on human history. Our main challenge in life is overcoming these chains of limitations. My vision and mission in life is to lend a helping hand to as many people as possible to help them overcome their limitations, impediments, and obstacles. To guide back a neglected generation of youth, to empower the community by mentoring young brilliant, bold and bright minds who have the courage, confidence, and cantor to fight against the immorality, immodesty, and immaturity of modern society.
